Evaluating ideas: Save time and money with a methodical approach

Our world is undergoing a digital transformation. Outdated processes are being digitized, new ideas are being born and want to be turned into successful products.

How does an idea become a product? How successful is the idea likely to be? Are user needs the focus?

We address these critical questions using various methods—and evaluate and test your ideas together. Through sustainable consulting and effective methods, you save a lot of time and money in this process.

Early insights and clear goals

Early evaluation and sketching of the product idea—whether through the construction of a prototype or a design sprint—has numerous advantages:

  • Visualization promotes a common understanding of the product among all parties involved.

  • Product ideas are evaluated early and comprehensively, and potential risks are identified.

  • Feedback from potential users is obtained before development begins.

  • Assumptions are reviewed early on and necessary product adjustments are identified.

  • Cost savings are achieved through subsequent, tailored development.

The possible paths

Together, we think through the product idea and review assumptions. We collect your open questions and find ways to answer them: We could, for example, develop a prototype to gather user feedback or explore a feature with a design sprint.

A prototype or click dummy visualizes an idea and allows it to be tested and user needs to be understood. This provides valuable results before the actual development begins – ensuring targeted product development and cost savings.

We recommend design sprints, on the other hand, when a specific question or feature needs to be explored. In five days, we answer necessary product questions and validate them with test users. At the end of this process, you have a tested prototype – complete – without endless discussions or months of development cycles.

If the idea has already been evaluated, we are happy to help you with the conception and implementation of an MVP.

Illustrate the product vision with a click dummy

If a click dummy is sufficient for your goal, we start with a joint workshop. This may be the case, for example, when it comes to addressing investors or obtaining initial user feedback.

The prototype depicts the product vision without data processing logic. In doing so, we gradually approach the end result—a digital prototype that visually differs little from the intended application. To this end, sketches and wireframes are used to develop the components of the application and possible usage scenarios, which are then converted into a digital format.

In order to quickly arrive at a prototype design, we like to draw on components and concepts from Material Design. This design language, developed by Google, offers a rich portfolio of widely used components as well as design and usage-tested interaction concepts. This allows us to focus on developing the product vision. One of the final steps is then to visually brand the conceptually and functionally developed product.

In addition to illustrating the product vision, the development of a prototype also serves to sharpen it and leads to a uniform understanding of the product – it is therefore also a means of communication.
