The goal was to migrate the current website from Create React App to Next.js to enhance performance by leveraging server-side rendering (SSR) and consolidating various product components within a single monorepository.

A team from farbenmeer advised on critical aspects of performance and maintainability. Additionally, they provided practical, expert assistance throughout the migration process to Next.js.

The main objective was to significantly enhance all critical performance indicators, thereby further improving the user experience.

Better user experience as a result

farbenmeer’s experts collaborated with Joyn’s internal development team, sharing their extensive experience and knowledge to identify potential maintenance vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks. Solutions to address these issues were developed in partnership.

As a result, the app is now delivered faster, and also consumes fewer resources on the server.

Unnecessary code and features were removed from the app and the user experience was significantly enhanced.

By working on tooling and deployment, the developer experience was also permanently improved with development times minimized.
