Accessible, Modular & On-Brand: The Relaunch of the bonprix Corporate Website
The bonprix corporate website was in transition: while the online shop had already been updated to reflect the new brand identity, the corporate pages still followed the old design. The content appeared text-heavy, the imagery no longer matched current brand guidelines, the structure offered little user-friendliness, and accessibility had been largely overlooked. In addition, the introduction of a new CMS marked a fundamental technical shift.

Together with the bonprix team, we defined the following goals:
Transition of the corporate website into bonprix’s new design system to ensure brand consistency.
Development of a modern, intuitive content structure that engages users quickly and in an enjoyable way.
Implementation of accessibility standards and improved responsiveness across all devices.
Establishment of a modular system enabling bonprix to independently maintain and update content in the future.

Concept & Design
We began with a detailed content and structure analysis: building the current sitemap, identifying redundancies and potential improvements, and providing guidance for the sitemap redesign. In parallel, based on the existing style guide, we developed a visual website concept that further enhanced the brand identity and introduced clearly defined modules (e.g., video, maps, fact blocks, intro, news). The modular logic allowed for various page types and scenarios.

A particular focus was on sustainability topics—a central content area with a high density of information. To present the extensive content in a clear and organized way, we developed an anchor navigation that enables intuitive orientation within the site.
In addition, we advised the bonprix team on content preparation: How can text be presented in an engaging and easily understandable way? How can topics be structured clearly? Videos for the homepage were edited, and content was worked on collaboratively with the client. Finally, we managed the interface with technical implementation: preparing modules for different browser sizes and performing quality checks on developed modules and pages.

bonprix is a German e-commerce fashion company operating in 16 European countries, offering customers a wide range of products for women, men, children, as well as home & living. The company places a strong emphasis on digital innovation and sustainability and values a diverse corporate culture.
Implementation by using contentful CMS
The website was built on contentful CMS—modular, flexible, and future-proof. The technical development had already been completed, while we provided intensive support to the bonprix team in populating and creating the pages. For this, we supplied a set of visually and technically developed modules that allow content to be managed independently.

The result – a modern, accessible and user-friendly corporate website
The newly redesigned bonprix corporate website now meets the highest standards: a modern, accessible, and user-friendly design that clearly communicates the bonprix brand promise. Content is informative yet easy to grasp—users are guided intuitively without feeling overwhelmed.
With the modular system, bonprix has established the technical foundation to independently develop and manage content. This sets the stage for a digital presence that strengthens brand value while keeping users at the center.
